This option appears at the end of the reservation process and within the Hot Deals section of the site. How does Alamo.co.uk protect my personal information?
When you enter your personal information, your information is safe with Alamo.co.uk. We take protecting your information very seriously. The entire reservation transaction is conducted through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. SSL technology is the industry standard and is used by the most reputable shopping sites on the web. In addition, we reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when confirming your rental. Your credit card is not charged until you actually pick-up the vehicle at the rental location.

Here's how SSL works:
SSL technology takes your personal information and runs it through a series of steps that scrambles the request being submitted. This is done before the data is sent over the Internet so that the request cannot be read while it is being transferred. When the intended recipient receives the request, SSL unscrambles the request, checks that it came from the correct sender and then verifies that it has not been tampered with.

Does Alamo.co.uk collect any personal information about me?
Alamo.co.uk does not store any personal information that you provide when you interact with our site. We do not collect any personal information without your knowledge and permission, nor do we sell or rent any site visit data to other parties.

Alamo.co.uk uses third party ad servers and service providers to deliver ads to you on our behalf. Pixels, or transparent GIF files, are used to help manage our online advertising. These GIF files are provided by our ad server partner, DoubleClick. These files enable DoubleClick to recognise a unique cookie on your Web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our Web site. The information that we collect and share is anonymous and not personally identifiable. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number, or email address. If you would like more information about this practice or to opt out of having this information used by third-party ad servers to provide targeted ads, please visit: http://www.doubleclick.net/us/corporate/privacy.

Each time you use the internet, an IP address is assigned to your computer via the internet service provider. This number may either be the same or different each time. Each time your computer requests information from our website, we log your IP address on our server. We may use this in order to gather information about the website traffic and usage.
