Cancellation Charges

We will not charge for reservations cancelled 7 days or more before your pick up time. If you cancel your booking after this time, the following charges apply:

• If you cancel your booking less than 7 days before pick up time, you will be charged either the full cost of your booking or up to a maximum of £20 whichever is the lesser.
• If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before your pick up time, you will be charged either the full cost of your booking or up to a maximum of £50, whichever is the lesser.

In the event of a cancellation, your credit card will be refunded, less the above charge.

No-shows & late or early arrivals

Your vehicle will be held for 2 hours from the specified reserved time. After this time we cannot guarantee a vehicle will be available upon arrival.

For all airport bookings, however, where a flight number has been supplied the vehicle will be held until the flight has landed and cleared. Where a flight delay results in a customer arriving after the station closing time a member of staff will wait for the flight to land and clear. If the delay is in excess of one hour after the station closing time an out of hours fee may apply. Where no flight number has been supplied we will hold the vehicle for a period of up to 2 hours or until station closing time, which ever is the earlier. Staff will not wait beyond closing time where no flight number is supplied.

When booking your vehicle please ensure the dates entered are correct, if your circumstances change and you require the vehicle on different dates/times please amend your reservation online.

Customers who arrive 1 day or more early at our rental stations with a reservation that does not match the current date will not be able to use the reservation reserved online. The branch may be able to offer an alternate reservation but please note the rates will not match the online reservation.

If you fail to collect your car on the specified pick-up date, we reserve the right to charge a no-show fee of either the cost of the booking or up to a maximum of £50, whichever is the lesser. In the event of a no-show, your credit card will be refunded, less the no-show charge.

Unused Rental Days

Please note that any unused rental days on prepaid reservations are non-refundable.

Rules and regulations - check before you travel

If you are planning to drive to abroad, you will need to be aware of your responsibilities to follow driving laws in your destination country. We strongly recommend you make your own investigations before travelling.

Driving abroad in Winter conditions

Whilst driving abroad in winter conditions, legally some countries will have restrictions on the equipment a vehicle should carry or have fitted, this can include snow tyres. Whilst driving abroad its important to adhere to the driving laws in that country. Failure to do so could result in a fine or temporary loss of your vehicle. Snow tyres and snow chains are available to hire for an additional fee and must be requested at time of booking. For online bookings where the pick-up country specified requires snow tyres a charge will normally be added to your reservation and these will be fitted to the vehicle. However, if you are planning to drive cross-border please check country requirements and request equipment be added to your reservation where appropriate by contacting our Call Centre.

We strongly recommend you make your own investigations as to whether or not you will require any additional winter equipment before travelling abroad. The RAC website (www.rac.co.uk/driving-abroad) provides additional information and tips on driving abroad.

Israel

Additional Driver Policy

The additional drivers charge is EUR 2.50 per day. Please note: any additional driver's that hold an Israeli licence will be charge tax.

Age Requirements

The minimum rental age is 24 years for all cars. The maximum age limit is 70 years. There is no young drivers charge.

Cross Border Policy

Cars are not to be driven outside of Israel. Cars are not to be driven in Gaza Strip and in the areas of the West Bank, Sinai & Taba. Although these passages are marked with barriers and clear signs, it may still be possible to drive through. Cars that pass the barriers, will not be covered by insurance and the customer will be responsible for the full damage and or loss of the vehicle.

Insurance Excess

Collision Damage Waiver & Theft Waiver limits the customer's financial responsibility for loss, damage or theft of the rental vehicle. The maximum excess that is payable in the event of one of these incidents is 600.00 EUR. The maximum excess will vary depending on the vehicle you are renting, please ask at time of rental for further information on which excess applies.  If you would like to reduce or remove your excess responsibility please ask the rental staff when collecting your vehicle about additional products that are on offer. Please also see the Payment Policy regarding US and Canada residents.

License Requirements

Full clean driving licence must be held for a minimum of 2 years for all cars prior to the rental start date. European and US licences are accepted. An international driving permit is not required. Tourists entering Israel with foreign passport on: B2 Tourist Visa, B3 Temporary Visa, B4 Volunteer Visa are exempt from VAT on the condition that passport with entrance stamp to Israel is presented. There is a maximum limit of 250km per day on bookings placed for 1 - 3 rental days.  Should your driving license not be resident to the country of origin of your booking we reserve the right to charge an appropriate rate for your country of residence.

One Way Rentals

Domestic one ways are allowed from 3 day minimum rentals for all cars and cost as follows: From Tel Aviv Airport to Haifa-Kiryat Bialik = EUR 30.00 (and vice versa). From Tel Aviv Airport and Tel Aviv Downtown to Holon and Modiin = Free of Charge (and vice versa). From Tel Aviv Downtown to Tel Aviv Airport = EUR 22.00 (and vice versa)  From Haifa-Kiryat Bialik to Holon and Modiin = EUR 30.00 (and vice versa). From Holon to Modiin = Free of Charge (and vice versa). From Tel Aviv Downtown to Haifa-Kiryat Bialik = EUR 30.00. From Haifa-Kiryat Bialik to Tel Aviv Downtown = Free of Charge. A minimum length of rental of 3 days applies to all one ways. A penalty charge of EUR 100.00 applies if the vehicle is left in an unauthorised location. International one ways are not permitted.

Out of Hours Policy

Not available.

Payment Policy

Acceptable methods of payment are: Visa, Amex, Diners, MasterCard, National Vouchers & National Charge Cards. Cash is also accepted but only at the end of the rental (USD, EUR & NIS accepted). Travellers Cheques, Eurocheques and Debit Cards are not accepted. A deposit of EUR 275.00 plus 20% of the estimated rental charges is required, which is held on the credit card until the car is returned. The deposit cannot be paid in cash.  Please Note: For Citizens choosing country of residence US & Canada, the CDW and THW insurances are optional only if the customer is paying with a credit card known to provide such coverage benefits in Israel and provide written proof that the card has relevant coverage for the rental in Israel, otherwise it is mandatory for the customer to purchase those insurances. Nevertheless, if CDW and THW are not purchased, the customer is responsible for the full value of the car (a deposit on the customer's credit card will be taken for the full value of the car) and a Supplementary Liability Insurance (SLI) is mandatory. This SLI insurance (supplementary liability cover) is available at the counter at an additional charge that varies between EUR 13.00 and EUR 30.00 per day plus applicable taxes, according to the car group confirmed.

Refuelling Policy

Cars must be returned with the same amount of fuel as supplied at the beginning of the rental, otherwise refuelling charges may apply.

Roadside Assistance

All details will be provided to the customer at time of checkout.

Special Equipment

Infant Seat CSI - (0 - 12 months / 0 - 13 kg) - EUR 5.00 per day with a maximum charge of EUR 25.00. Replacement amount is EUR 120.00. Baby Seat CSB - (1 - 3 years / 9 - 18 kg) - EUR 5.00 per day with a maximum charge of EUR 25.00. Replacement amount is EUR 120.00. Toddler Seat CST - (4 - 7 years / 15 - 30 kg) - EUR 5.00 per day with a maximum charge of EUR 25.00. Replacement amount is EUR 120.00. Booster Seat BST (up to 12 years / under 135 cms) - EUR 5.00 per day with a maximum charge of EUR 25.00. Replacement amount is EUR 120.00. GPS - EUR 8.00 per day with a maximum charge of EUR 48.00. Replacement amount is EUR 400.00. All equipment is on freesale and available for all cars. The age of the child/ren must be provided at time of reservation when hiring child seats. Baby seats are not loaded in the system, so if required please add to the remarks on the reservation.

Surcharges

Airport surcharge - EUR 22.00.
